Where it all began…

Michelle Stanard Duhon is a Texas native who began Bayou Preservation in New Orleans in 2010. She has worked as an architectural conservator on major monuments and projects, including The Alamo and Marie Laveau's Tomb. Michelle has a passion for materials conservation, especially masonry and plaster. She works, volunteers, and teaches within the field of historic preservation. She lives in New Orleans with her family and her favorite thing about New Orleans is the sound of the streetcar.

Juliette Hotard is a New Orleans native, and she holds a Historic Preservation degree from the College of Charleston. Juliette is one of 8 siblings, so she is great at sharing her tools and taking on new responsibilities. Juliette is in charge of estimating, procurement, and her favorite type of project is sculpture conservation.

Alex Burzynski is a Chicago native who has been volunteering and working in architectural conservation and historic preservation for the past 5 years. Alex is a natural problem-solver, and always remains calm in the face of a crisis. Alex is great at finish plaster and masonry conservation.
