Bayou Preservation's conservators have a variety of backgrounds and specialties in materials conservation. All of our conservators have post-graduate degrees in Historic Preservation, and we are proficient in masonry, stone, plaster, metals, and paints and coatings.
PortfolioPoydras (Orphans) TombBayou Preservation completed the restoration of the large, cruciform Poydras Tomb in Lafayette Cemetery #1. PortfolioMarie Laveau TombBayou Preservation completed the full restoration of the Marie Laveau Tomb in the St. Louis Cemetery #1 in New Orleans. PortfolioBarthel Tomb – Private OwnerBayou Preservation re-plastered and created a custom color limewash for this tomb located in Lafayette Number 1 in New Orleans. The blue-gray color was selected by the client, and it is similar to a traditional color that was historically used in New Orleans cemeteries. Bayou Preservation also cleaned and treated the marble.View Item
